CM Gehlot vows to build co-op godowns in state

Following in the footsteps of the Central Government, the Rajasthan Government announced plans to build a 100 metric tonne capacity godown at the 100 Gram Seva Sahakari Samitis of the state.

It will be set up at the cost of Rs 12 crore. Under this, the 12 lakh will be made available to each Gram Seva Sahakari Samiti for the construction of a godown.

The amount will be borne from the farmers welfare fund.

It bears recalling that a few days back the Union Cabinet chaired Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the constitution of an Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) for forming the World’s Largest Grain Storage Plan in the Cooperative Sector by integrating various schemes of different ministries on Wednesday.
