Citizen Co-op Society, Hyderabad elects new board unopposed

In a significant development for the cooperative sector in South India, the elections to the Board of Directors of the leading southern multi-state cooperative society- Citizen Cooperative Society, Hyderabad, have been completed unopposed.

The Cooperative Election Authority has formally approved the unopposed results, marking a smooth and uncontested transition of leadership.

All 11 board seats were filled without a contest. From the General Category, the elected directors include,  Achyuta Koteswara Rao, Jujjavarapu Satyanarayana, G. Purnachandra Rao, Bollina Prabhakar Rao, P.R.V.P.S. Raju, M. Siva Rama Vara Prasad, and A. Somalingam Goud.

In the Women Category, Smt. Kamineni Lavanya Rekha and Smt. L. Saranya Krishna have been elected unopposed. From the SC/ST Category, Babu Rajendra Prasad Mamidipalli has secured the board position.

The society, known for its strong presence and steady growth, recently shifted to a sprawling new head office. As on 31st March 2025, Citizen Cooperative Society reported an impressive business mix of over Rs 4,400 crore and a net profit of Rs 82.28 crore.
