Shakuntala Sahu, MLA from Kasdol, Chhattisgarh has written a letter to Premsai Singh Tekam Cooperative Minister of the state discussing problems faced by farmers in getting agricultural loans from branches of Raipur Central Cooperative Bank in Palari, Rohansi, Watgan and others.
She has urged the cooperative minister to ensure loans are provided to the farmers at the earliest.
She argues the lack of loans has badly affected supply of urea and agricultural activities. The farmers are angered by the callous attitude of the DCCBs employees, she complains.
The MLA demanded a strict action against the irresponsible officers of DCCBs and urged the minister to provide immediate short term loans to the farmers so they can begin their farming work.
