Chhattisgarh: Bajaj for ushering in White Revolution

There were 650 milk cooperatives in the state and we wanted them to expand their milk production to bring about a white revolution in the state, said Ashok Bajaj Vice Chairman of NAFSCOB. Bajaj who is also the Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Co-op Bank was participating in a function of Chhattisgarh state cooperative milk federation at Urla.

On this occasion a ceremony was organized by the State cooperative milk federation. President and CEO of dairy cooperatives were also present in the ceremony. President of Chhattisgarh state cooperative milk federation Rasik Parmar said our objective is to do co-operative based businesses. He said promoting native breeds in rural areas is aimed at helping people.

Ashok bajaj said the Urla Milk Federation is doing well compared to other cooperative societies in the state. Bajaj urged people to ramp up feed production. In the context of Pradhanmantri Suraksha Bima Yozana and Jeevan Jyoti bima bajaj said the milk cooperative officials should give benefits to milk producing farmers with the help of these schemes.

Besides Bajaj and Parmar, those present in the meeting included Managing Director of Chattishgarh Cooperative State Union, Shri S.S.Ghrwar and officials of the apex bank and dairy federations.
