Chandy takes up co-op IT issue with Centre

kerala cmThe daily Hindu report says inaugurating the centenary function of the Kerala State Cooperative Bank chief minister Mr Chandy said his govt is committed to providing cheap loans and easy and timely repayment.

The govt would soon tackle the problem of the scarcity of capital and initiate major changes in the cooperative sector. The govt would offer risk fund and medical assistance for the cooperative workers, announced Mr Chandy.

The chief minister called on the cooperative banks to provide farmers and common people with easy loans without delay.

The state govt. is exercised over the problem of the income tax Act and has taken it up with the center. The center’s response is positive and his govt would soon find a solution , Mr. Chandy said.

Cooperation Minister C.N. Balakrishnan presided. K. Muraleedharan, MLA; bank president Kurien Joy; managing director S. Ravindran; former presidents and director board members were also present.
