The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a two-year extension in the central deputation tenure of Kumar Ram Krishna, IOFS (2010), who is serving as Director in the Ministry of Cooperation.
According to an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on September 25, 2026, the extension will run from January 18, 2027, to January 17, 2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Kumar Ram Krishna has been on central deputation since January 18, 2022, under the Central Staffing Scheme and has been looking after the cooperative banks division in the Ministry of Cooperation.
The approval follows a proposal from the Ministry of Cooperation seeking continuation of his tenure. The ministry had submitted the proposal through its Office Memorandum dated August 6, 2026.
The extension will allow Kumar Ram Krishna to continue in his current role in the Ministry of Cooperation for another two years.
The order was issued by Ajit Kumar Ranjan, Deputy Secretary to the Government of India, on behalf of the Establishment Officer.
