HT reports Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar police have registered a case against Sukhdev Singh, a former secretary of co-operative society at Gunachaur village in Banga subdivision in Punjab for defrauding Rs 37 lakh.
Singh was booked after an investigation carried out by the police on the complaint of Nirmaljit Kaur, president of the co-operative society.
The accused availed loans using several customers’ accounts and failed to return the money to the co-operative bank and also made away with money from many accounts.
