Brand Amul in controversy for no fault: Cooperators
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The name of the Brand Amul has been hogging media headlines for sponsoring Sudarshan Tv’s controversial show “Bindas Bol”. Despite having nothing to do with the content of the show, the co-op titan is being dragged in the controversy, said co-operators reacting to the raging controversy.

The whole controversy started with Suresh Chavhanke, Editor-in-Chief of Sudarshan News channel claiming that an ‘exposé’ had revealed that that an increasing number of Muslim candidates were allegedly clearing the civil services exam.

The matter began to trend soon on Social media and a large number of its supporters took to the counter vilification campaign against Amul.

Two other sponsors of the show -UP govt’s Rajvaidya Hempushpa and Sacchi Saheli were however dealt lightly by activists while Amul had to suffer most of the negative campaigning.

The high court had issued notices seeking replies from the central government, Sudarshan TV, and its Editor-in-Chief Suresh Chavhanke on the petition, which has been listed for further hearing on September 7.
