In a significant step to enhance agricultural support in Rajasthan, the Rajasthan State Cooperative Marketing Federation (Rajfed) has signed MoUs with the Bharatiya Beej Sahkari Samiti Ltd. (BBSSL) and the National Cooperative Organics Ltd. (NCOL). The agreements were signed on Wednesday at Rajfed’s office in the presence of senior officials.
The MoUs aim to provide high-quality seeds to farmers and cooperative societies, and to facilitate marketing of organic products. These initiatives are aligned with the vision of Rajasthan’s Minister of State for Cooperation (Independent Charge) Gautam Kumar Daga, and Principal Secretary & Registrar of Cooperative Societies Ms. Manju Rajpal, under the broader mission of ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’.
The collaboration with NCOL will open marketing channels for organic basmati rice, paddy, wheat, pulses, honey, millets, and medicinal products, while BBSSL will ensure the supply of certified seeds.
Rajfed Managing Director Tikam Chand Bohra, BBSSL Institutional Head Parambir Yadav, and NCOL Cooperative Head Vineet Kumar signed the MoUs. So far, over 2,700 cooperative societies have joined BBSSL, and 217 have partnered with NCOL in Rajasthan.
Senior Rajfed officials including General Manager Amit Sharma and consultant R.S. Jodha were also present at the ceremony.
