BJP wins co-op election in West Bengal

In a first, BJP swept the election in a cooperative body, Bhekutia Samabay Krishi Samity which falls in Nandigram, PTI report says.

A stronghold of Suvendu Adhikari, BJP won 11 of the 12 seats. Adhikari had defeated Mamta Banerjee in the Assembly elections earlier.

Earlier, TMC was controlling the co-op body but this time it just managed to win 1 seat. Ruckus was also created during the polling on Sunday.
