BJP sweeps Amul Dairy Board, wins 11 of 13 Seats

For the first time, the BJP secured a majority in the Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union (Amul Dairy) board, winning 11 of 13 seats in elections held on September 10.

Four BJP candidates won uncontested, while others secured decisive victories, reflecting strong grassroots support. The Congress managed to retain only two seats, Borsad and Kapadvanj, amid accusations of BJP using its full party machinery and alleged underhand tactics.

The BJP also swept Panchamrut Dairy uncontested, strengthening its cooperative control in Gujarat. Party leaders hailed the success as recognition of their development efforts and pledged to further consolidate their position in dairy cooperatives across the state.
