Bhutani reviews IFFCO-TOKIO onboarding of co-ops

Union Ministry of Cooperation Secretary Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani chaired a high-level review meeting on Tuesday, at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan, New Delhi, to assess the progress made by IFFCO-TOKIO in onboarding cooperatives and outlining its business expansion strategies.

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperative outreach, widening insurance coverage, and ensuring that the company’s future growth plans align with the broader objectives of the Ministry of Cooperation.

Dr. Bhutani emphasized the importance of leveraging insurance solutions to safeguard cooperative members and enhance financial resilience at the grassroots level.

The meeting was attended by Pankaj Kumar Bansal, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation; Raman Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation; K.J. Patel, Managing Director, IFFCO; Rakesh Kapur, Joint Managing Director & Chief Financial Officer, IFFCO; along with senior officials from the Ministry and key stakeholders from the cooperative sector.
