In a move to strengthen West Bengal’s digital public transport ecosystem, the Department of Information Technology & Electronics (IT&E), Government of West Bengal, has facilitated a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Yatri Sathi and Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Ltd. (Bharat Taxi).
The partnership aims to seamlessly integrate the two mobility platforms, making travel more convenient and efficient for commuters across the state. As part of the collaboration, eligible Yatri Sathi drivers will also gain access to cooperative membership and welfare benefits offered through Sahakar Taxi Cooperative.
The MoU further lays the foundation for the future integration of bike taxis and auto-rickshaws into the Yatri Sathi platform, expanding the range of transport services available to commuters.
The initiative is expected to promote a more integrated, technology-driven and inclusive urban mobility network while strengthening the role of the cooperative model in the transport sector.
