BBSSL participates in Turmeric Value Chain Summit 2025

Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited (BBSSL) participated in the Turmeric Value Chain Summit 2025, organised by CII Telangana in collaboration with the National Turmeric Board (NTB) in Hyderabad. The summit brought together key stakeholders from across the turmeric value chain to deliberate on innovation, technology, and emerging opportunities in the sector.

The event was graced by T. Nageswara Rao, Minister of Agriculture, Telangana; Smt. Bhavani Sri, Secretary, National Turmeric Board; and P. Ganga Reddy, Chairman, NTB. Discussions focused on enhancing productivity, quality, and market linkages to strengthen India’s turmeric ecosystem.

Representing BBSSL, Dr. Jay Prakash T., Head – Supply Chain & R&D, highlighted the importance of tissue culture technology in supplying superior propagating material and its potential to significantly improve turmeric productivity.

He also emphasized the scope for collaboration between BBSSL and the National Turmeric Board to promote farmer-centric growth and sustainable value-chain development.
