Banas Dairy instals Solar Plant in Varanasi

In a bid to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives, Gujarat based Banas Dairy installed a 1 MW solar plant at its Varanasi plant.

Banas Dairy invested Rs 9.95 crore in a rooftop solar plant which has yielded Rs 15.7 crore worth of solar-generated electricity in the past 68 months.

Sharing details through social media, the official handle of Banas Dairy wrote, “Banas Dairy in Varanasi is going solar! In support of PM Modi’s initiative, we installed a 1 MW solar plant at our upcoming facility. This adds to our existing 2.4 MW capacity across multiple plants”.

“Banas is embracing sustainable energy for a greener future”, it further added.

Banas Dairy is one of the milk unions associated with the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF),which sells its product under the brand name of Amul.
