Awareness Program in Goa to explore MPACS business

An awareness programme was organised with Mahial Self Help Group Sahakari Audogik Sauntha Maryadit, Karaswada, Mapusa, to explore opportunities for expanding its business activities by adopting the Multipurpose Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (MPACS) Business Policy.

The programme focused on sensitising members about the scope and benefits of the MPACS model, which enables cooperatives to diversify operations beyond traditional activities and engage in multiple income-generating services.

Participants were briefed on potential business avenues such as agri-input supply, processing, marketing, warehousing, and other allied activities that can be taken up under the MPACS policy.

The initiative was well received by members, who expressed keen interest in adopting the MPACS business approach to broaden their cooperative’s operational base and contribute to inclusive growth in the region.
