The Assam Co-operative Apex Bank Ltd. (Assam StCB) has contributed Rs 25 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to support relief, rehabilitation and recovery efforts for families affected by the recent floods in Assam.
The cheque was handed over by the bank’s Chairman, Biswajit Phukan, along with senior bank officials, to Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday.
Acknowledging the contribution, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude to all individuals, institutions and organisations that have come forward to support the state during the humanitarian crisis.
He said every contribution would strengthen the government’s ongoing efforts to provide relief, rehabilitation and assistance to flood-affected families across Assam.
The donation reflects the cooperative banking sector’s commitment to standing with the people of Assam in times of need.
