The meeting deliberated on recent fluctuations in sugar prices and proactive market intervention mechanisms aimed at maintaining price stability for consumers.

The discussions also shifted focus to Assam’s cooperative ecosystem, with both sides exploring strategic approaches to strengthen cooperatives in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The Assam delegation included Additional Chief Secretary Biswa Ranjan Samal, IAS, GMDA CEO Anbamuthan MP, IAS, and Commissioner Hemanta Bhuyan. Gujarat Additional Chief Secretary Arunkumar M. Solanki, IAS, also participated.
