Veteran Karnataka cooperator and former BJP MP Annasaheb Jolle scored a resounding 15-0 victory in the election to the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) Governing Council, emerging as one of the biggest winners in the polls.
Representing the constituency of State-level Cooperative Federations and Associations (Western and Southern India), Jolle defeated his lone rival Sanjeev Kushalkar, who failed to secure a single vote. Notably, only 15 of the 22 eligible electors exercised their franchise, with every vote cast in Jolle’s favour.
Jolle, who currently serves as Chairman of the Belagavi District Central Cooperative (BDCC) Bank and is the founder of the Shri Beereshwar Credit Cooperative Society, is widely regarded as one of Karnataka’s most influential cooperative leaders. With over three decades of experience in the cooperative sector, his emphatic victory is being seen as a recognition of his long-standing contribution to the movement.
Expressing gratitude to the electors, Jolle reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening cooperative institutions, promoting transparency, empowering farmers and rural communities, and advancing the vision of “Sahakar Se Samriddhi.”
A Sahakar Bharati-backed candidate, Jolle’s convincing victory is being viewed as a major endorsement of both his leadership and the organization’s growing influence within the country’s apex cooperative body.
