Ananthapuramu Sheep Co-op: Administrator Tenure extended
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Andhra Pradesh government has extended the tenure of the Official Person-in-Charge (PIC) of the Ananthapuramu District Sheep Breeders Co-operative Union by another six months, citing the need to continue administration until elections are held.

According to a government order issued by the Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Department on June 1, the tenure of the administrator has been extended from June 18, 2026, to December 17, 2026, or until a newly elected Board of Management assumes charge, whichever is earlier.

The extension has been granted under Section 32(7)(a)(ii) of the Andhra Pradesh Cooperative Societies Act, 1964, following a proposal from the Director of Animal Husbandry.

The government has directed the Director of Animal Husbandry, Andhra Pradesh, to take necessary steps for implementing the order.

The Ananthapuramu District Sheep Breeders Co-operative Union is a key institution supporting sheep-rearing farmers in the district and functions within the state’s cooperative livestock development framework.
