Indian Express reports the Gujarat government has given GCMMF 114 acres of land on the outskirts of Rajkot city at the cost of Rs 90 crore for installing a milk processing plant for the Saurashtra region.
The famed milk cooperative that sells dairy and other products under the brand Amul, would soon acquire the land.
A source is quoted as saying the new plant will cost GCMMF Rs 500 crore and the plant will be built before the end of this year.
