Amul to sell Camel Chocolates thru 2 lac outlets

GCMMF, that markets a mélange of dairy products under Amul brand, will soon start selling ”Amul Camel Milk Chocolate” as well before Diwali, reports Times of India.

GCMMF MD R S Sodhi is quoted saying camel milk will be collected from Kutch and the chocolates made at Kaira District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union run Amul dairy at Anand.

According to Sodhi, the chocolate will be marketed through some 2 lakh retail outlets across the country. FSSAI has approved camel milk as a food item with specific standards for sale and trade.
