Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation’s Amul and Naveen Jindal-led JSPL are likely to be among the first Indian companies to invest in Oman as bilateral trade and economic cooperation deepen.

Amul has reportedly received interest from an Omani dairy company for a possible joint venture, signalling new opportunities for Indian dairy exports and overseas expansion of the cooperative brand.

Media reports quote officials saying the proposed India-Oman trade agreement may be operational within the next three months, boosting trade, investment and employment prospects.

The development underlines Amul’s growing global ambitions while strengthening India’s economic engagement with the Gulf region.
