AMUL joins hands with IOB to boost Organic Farming

In a landmark move to boost sustainable agriculture, Indian Overseas Bank has signed a tripartite MoU with AMUL, India’s largest dairy cooperative, and its organic farming partner Richplus.

Signed in Chennai, this collaboration marks the first such alliance between a public sector bank and organic farming leaders. AMUL’s pivotal role will ensure structured farmer engagement, access to organic inputs, training, certification, and market linkages.

The initiative aims to onboard 1 lakh organic farmers, particularly in Tamil Nadu, reinforcing AMUL’s commitment to building a sustainable, farmer-first ecosystem aligned with the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
