Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb sought dairy giant Amul’s help to develop the dairy industry of the state, say media reports.
A delegation of senior officials headed by dairy expert ST Deshai from Amul called on Deb at the Secretariat in Agartala last week and sought to share the expertise of the Nation’s apex milk based cooperative in developing a dairy industry in Tripura
Talking to the media, Deb said, I am sure this initiative will help to solve unemployment to some extent in Tripura. It will also help in fulfilling the demand for milk in the state.
We shall make Tripura self-reliant in milk production in three years.” He also said that his government wants to share experiences in running dairy industry with Amul India Limited, which has a vast experience in the sector.
