Amul earns global recognition

The International Advertising Association of India (IAAI) recently conferred ”the marketer of the year award” on GCCMF the company that sells Amul brand of milk and milk products, reports IANS.

GCCMF is the country’s leading milk cooperative with its Amul brand worth Rs 41,000 crore. Nearly 36 lakh farmers of Gujarat are connected to the cooperative.

The GCCMF MD R.S. Sodhi received the award on behalf of the cooperative. The cooperative had early on realized the importance of adverts beginning its famous marketing campaign “Utterly Butterly Delicious, Amul”.
