Amul celebrated Anasuya Sengupta’s achievement with a tribute post. Featured along with the Amul girl, Ansuya is seen holding a bottle of Amul milk with the slogan “Cannesuya Sengupta”.
Sengupta, lead star of Konstantin Bojanov’s Hindi film “The Shameless,” made history by winning Best Actress in the Un Certain Regard category at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
She is the first Indian to achieve this honour. Hailing from Kolkata, Sengupta’s win marks a significant milestone for India at Cannes.
Amul India celebrated her achievement with a tribute post. In her acceptance speech, Sengupta dedicated the award to the queer and marginalized communities, advocating for universal decency and equality- a goal akin to the cooperative movement.
