Amul aims to capture rural market

GCMMF will sell pasteurized milk derivatives in tiny packs in rural areas which will synchronize with it rolling out new products across urban areas in the country, confirmed R S Sodhi to Indian Cooperative on a query based on a media report.

The Gujarat dairy cooperative will also sell price-based products with dairy, milk, ghee and other items in Rs 20, Rs 10 and even smaller pack sizes to cater to the needs of the people in the countryside, he added.

R S Sodhi, managing director, GCMMF said, as the countryside remains a huge market, the cooperative will put in all its efforts to tap it.
