IFFCO Managing Director K J Patel has highlighted the growing role of agri-startups in shaping the future of Indian agriculture, stressing the need to address challenges across both the input and output sides of the farm ecosystem.
Patel said there are significant opportunities for innovation in areas such as soil nutrition, sustainable soil management, farmer education and making farming more efficient and easier for farmers.
According to him, agri-startups can play an important role by bringing technology, innovation and new solutions closer to farmers. He also pointed to IFFCO’s work in integrated and sustainable soil management through Nano Fertilisers, Bio Fertilisers and Bio Stimulants as an opportunity for young agri-entrepreneurs and farmers.
Patel shared these views in an article published in the September edition of Agriculture Today magazine. He said the future of Indian agriculture would depend on how effectively innovation is combined with the needs and ground realities of farmers.
