Agri 2.0: IFFCO launches DRONAI module in Coimbatore

IFFCO has launched a Drone iMobile App which can be downloaded through easy steps by farmers and which can help them book drone services for spraying Nano Urea and Nano DAP rather effortlessly in their fields.

Based on Artificial Intelligence and heralding what is known as Agri 2.0, IFFCO aims to combine Drone, Nano, Artificial Intelligence and mobile technologies in the new experiment.

The trial module of the app was launched by IFFCO in collaboration with TNAU last week at Agricultural Research Station, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, India. IFFCO MD Dr U S. Awasthi inaugurated this program in the presence of Dr.V.Geethalakshmi, Vice Chancellor, TNAU.

IFFCO MKD Yogendra Kumar and Dr. A. Lakshmanan, Managing Director, IFFCO-Nanoventions addressed the farmers on the importance of integrated drone technology in smart farming.

Around 450 farmers from different districts participated in this program to understand more about Drone, Nano and Artificial intelligence Technologies in Agriculture. This program was jointly organised by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and IFFCO, reported ANI.

In a video released on the subject, IFFCO Presenter describes in easy steps how a farmer can first register himself and in the second step book drone services. Based on Aadhar and OTPs, the app gets going in no time.

Tweeting on the development IFFCO MD said “Artificial Intelligence based DRONAI modules launched by IFFCO in technical collaboration with TNAU have perfect match of technology & agriculture extension capabilities. The vehicle will carry an Agri Drone as well as serve as a multimedia promotion vehicle in villages.”
