According to media reports, the Agra administration has taken a tough stand over the alleged multi-crore warehouse construction scam linked to cooperative societies.
District Magistrate Manish Bansal has reportedly ordered strict action after inquiry reports were not submitted on time. In a major administrative move, the salaries of seven officials have been withheld, triggering panic within the concerned departments.
The alleged irregularities are connected to the construction of warehouses under cooperative institutions, where large-scale financial discrepancies are suspected.
Media reports said the DM expressed strong displeasure over delays in the investigation and warned officials against negligence in matters related to public and cooperative funds.
