ADC becomes 1st DCCB to bag “Digital Financial Inclusion Award”

Gujarat based Ahmedabad District Cooperative (ADC) Bank has received the most prestigious award from the Indian Bank’s Association recently in a function organized in Mumbai.

This is the first time that the award has been bestowed on any District Cooperative Bank by IBA in the Best Digital Financial Inclusion Category.

On behalf of the bank ADC Deputy General Manager Samay Vora collected the award. IBA Chairman and SBI Chairman Rajnish Kumar and TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan gave away the award.

Vora lost no time in sharing the good news through social media where a large number of his followers offered their congratulations.

ADC Bank is active in creating awareness among the villagers or farmers living in rural areas with digital model. Every day bank used to organize two street play for creating awareness among the farmers about the banking technology. In this series bank has organized more than 300 street plays. Bank is also ahead in adopting new-new technology.

IBA Awards recognize and reward individuals, professionals and banks who identify themselves in the technology segment of banking by their innovative ideas, initiatives, risk leadership qualities and implementation of various initiatives.

Ironically, ADC Bank is the one against whom Congress leaders levelled charges in the wake of demonetization. The Bank is fighting a defamation case in the matter.
