Campco leaders ask MP Kateel to be their voice in Parliament

Using the occasion of area MP Nalin Kumar Kateel’s visit to Campco office, Chocolate cooperative leaders requested him to be their voice in the Lower House. The occasion was the inauguration of its newly built Godown at APMC Yard Baikampady last week.

The Godown Building has been built at a cost of Rs.2.50 Crores covering 15,000 sqft and was inaugurated by Nalin Kumar Kateel, Member of Parliament, Dakshina Kannada, says a press release issued by the organization.

Speaking on the occasion the Member of Parliament referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s keen interest in transforming the nation’s farm sector and said farmers are the backbone of the Organisation and the Central Government will work to double the income of farmers and improve their standard of living by the year 2020.

Kateel appreciated various steps initiated by Campco in support of farmers and congratulated them for providing such a beautiful infrastructure for the Farmers. He assured that he would always stand with CAMPCO for the betterment of growers.

While presiding over the function, S.R.Satishchandra, President CAMPCO congratulated the Member of Parliament who has won for the past 3 consecutive terms and requested him to impress on the Central Government the need of curbing the illegal flow of Arecanut from Burma and Pepper from countries like Vietnam which badly affects the Indian Market.

Satishchandra also requested the MP to lead a delegation to Delhi in this respect.

Vice President K.Shankarnarayana Bhat and Directors from CAMPCO Satheesh chandra Bhandary, Chanila Thimappa Shetty, Shankarnarayana Bhat Kidoor, Dayanada Hegde and General Manager of CAMPCO-Smt Reshma Mallya were present on the occasion.

Ramachandra Kamath, Senior Manager CAMPCO welcomed the guests and moved a vote of thanks.
