PM Awas Yojana: KAIJS Bank ranks 3rd among UCBs

Kallappanna Awade Ichalkaranji Janata Sahakari Bank has ranked third in the whole of the country in Urban Cooperative Banking Sector in terms of subsidy disbursement under “Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban)” launched with an aim to ensure Housing for all, claimed Prakash Awade, the Chairman of the KAIJS Bank quoting a HUDCO survey.

KAIJS bank has been working on this mission in the partnership with HUDCO. In its annual report for the year ended 2018 published recently by HUDCO, it says “wherein it has been mentioned that bank has stood on 8th number in promoting the subsidy disbursement and 3rd in the Urban Co-operative Banking Sector in the whole of India under PMAY scheme.”

“We are one of the top prime lending institutions with subsidy disbursement of Rs. 135 lakhs”, said Awade. KAIJS Bank, as it is called in short is one of the leading co-operative banks in western Maharashtra.

Lauding his team Awade said ”our bank has achieved this ambitious mission within a short span of eight months as we joined this mission in August 2017 only. During this mission, the bank has succeeded to credit subsidy amount to the tune of Rs 1.35 Crore to 71 customers of the bank in their loan accounts.

“We are always aggressive in matters of offering technological services to the customers and this time we exhorted them to take advantage of this scheme and thus this result”, said the Chairman.

The Chairman also said the UCB is offers facilities like Mobile Banking, BHIM App, UPI fund transfer, Mobile & DTH Recharge, Electricity Bill etc to its customers.

Those present on the occasion included Vice Chairman-CA Chandrakant Chougule, Ex-Chairman Ashok Soundattikar, Director- Swapnil Awade, CEO-Vijay Kamat, all other Directors and Executives of the bank.
