Model Co-op Bank bags yet another award

The Maharashtra Urban Co-operative Banks’ Federation, Mumbai hosted the Best Bank Award Ceremony, 2016 for urban cooperative banks in Maharashtra in which Model Co-operative Bank has been awarded the Best Bank award in the Rs.600-1000 crore Deposits category.

Model Co-operative Bank has also been awarded with Merit Certificate for completing 100 years in the field of Co-operative Banking successfully.

The Award Ceremony was presided over by Subhashrao Deshmukh, Minister of Co-operation, Marketing & Textiles, Government of Maharashtra; Vidyadhar Anaskar and several other dignitaries attended the award ceremony.

The UCB has total deposits of Rs.875 crs and total Advances of Rs. 465 crs with total business of Rs. 1340 crs. The Bank has a total of 21 branches which are fully CBS enabled providing customers a range of services.

This award is another milestone for Model Co-operative Bank. The award was received by Mr Albert W D’Souza-Chairman of the bank.

Earlier, the Maharashtra State Co-operative Banks’ Association, Mumbai had at their 21st Annual Awards Function, awarded Model Co-operative Bank Ltd Late Padmabhushan Vasantdada Patil Best Bank award among Co-operative Banks.

The Bank was registered way back on 26th April, 1916. It has completed 100 years of its existence on 26.04.2016.
