Keshav Sahakari Bank: Jaju gets elected unopposed

Keshav Sahakari Bank the RSS arm in the cooperative field has elected 12 directors unopposed last week in a Special General Meeting held at Delhi. Shyam Jaju, BJP Vice-President and in charge of co-operative cell of the party was also declared elected as one of the Directors.

“The returning officer, B.S.Thakur appointed by Chief Secretary of the Government of NCT of Delhi, announced the election of board members of Keshav Sahakari Bank unopposed”.

The nominations were filed on 4th October 2017 and the nomination papers of BJP National Vice-President Shyam Jaju who was not able to come to file his nomination paper due to his pre-occupations were filed by Chairman Jai Prakash Gulati on his behalf.

Two directors of the bank Nidhi Ahuja and Praveen Kumar who earlier acted as co-opted directors on the board are elected unopposed to act as directors of the bank.

Anil Sharma who is also on the board of UCO bank had earlier resigned from the managing committee of the Bank.

Soon after getting elected the Chairman of the UCB Jai Prakash Gulati said “Today a special general meeting of Keshav Sahakari Bank was held at New Delhi to conduct the elections of the Managing Committee of the Bank. The election was unopposed and I was re-elected as the chairman for the next term”, he noted.

Talking about his future plans Gulati said “We are planning to open a branch at Dwarka which is likely to be inaugurated next month and will also install ATMs machines for our customers to give them better facilities in the coming years”, he informed.

Readers would recall that recently the bank has opened its new branch at a prime location in Rohini which is the third branch and was inaugurated by Mammohan Vaidya, RSS Pracharak.

“Recently for attracting more and more customers and giving better services to them the bank has slashed the interest rate of Housing and Vehicle loans. The new rate will stay till 31st December 2017”, he informed.

Keshav Sahakari Bank was established in 1997 in Karol Bagh and now the bank is having over 5,000 members. The business mix of the bank is about 90 crore and it collected a net profit of Rs 55 lakh in 2016-17 disbursing a dividend of 12 percent to its members.
