The Jharkhand State Cooperative Bank Ltd. (JSCB) has reported a steady financial performance for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, with its total business crossing Rs 4,000 crore, driven by healthy growth in deposits and advances.
According to the bank’s audited financial statements, deposits increased to Rs 2,866.28 crore as of March 31, 2026, from Rs 2,624.61 crore in the previous financial year, registering a growth of 9.2%.
The bank’s advances rose to Rs 1,176.25 crore, compared with Rs 1,141.39 crore a year ago, recording a growth of around 3.1%. With this, JSCB’s total business (deposits and advances) reached Rs 4,042.53 crore, up from Rs 3,766.00 crore in FY25.
The bank reported a net profit of Rs 26.23 crore during FY26. After making a tax provision of Rs 7.22 crore, profit after tax stood at Rs 19.01 crore. Accumulated profit after taxation increased to Rs 32.85 crore, reflecting the bank’s continued profitability and improved financial position.
JSCB also strengthened its overall financial position, with its balance sheet expanding to Rs 4,389.64 crore, compared with Rs 4,130.88 crore in the previous year.
Investments increased to Rs 1,085.40 crore, while reserves and surplus rose to Rs 94.28 crore from Rs 75.19 crore, indicating stronger internal reserves. The bank’s capital stood at Rs 163.35 crore, while borrowings were Rs 886.53 crore.
The FY26 results underscore the remarkable transformation of Jharkhand State Cooperative Bank over the past three years. Once burdened with an accumulated loss of nearly Rs 90 crore, the bank has successfully returned to sustained profitability and restored its financial strength.
The revival has been driven by stronger financial discipline, improved governance, better business mobilisation and prudent management.
The leadership of Chairperson Smt. Vibha Singh, along with the Board of Directors and the bank’s management team, has played a pivotal role in steering the institution out of losses and putting it on a sustainable growth trajectory.
