Janata Sahakari Bank celebrates Diamond Jubilee; Fadnavis Chief Guest

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the leading cooperative bank-Janata Sahakari Bank, Pune, in a glittering function organized on Tuesday.

During the event, Fadnavis also unveiled the logo on this occasion of Diamond jubilee year of the bank. The bank’s home magazine Garudazhep special issue was also released.

On the occasion, Minister of Higher & Technical Education, Maharashtra Chandrakant Patil, Shri Samarth Ramdas Swami Sansthan, Sajjangad President Shri. Bhushan Swami, Janata Sahakari Bank, Pune Chairman Ravindra Hejib, Vice Chairperson Adv. Alka Petkar, Chief Executive Officer Jagdish Kashyap and others were present.

A large gathering of 2000 people comprising Shareholders, Account Holders and well-wishers were present.

Addressing the participants, Fadnavis expressed vision that India is all set to become the world’s third largest economy in the next few years. India can be a real manufacturing hub for the world leaving China behind. Cooperative banks are contributing a lot to the economic growth of the country, said the deputy chief minister.

“Many changes are taking place in the banking sector. Banks have to create a market-friendly system in accordance with these changes without giving up the original thinking. When we make progress, we have to keep on with that progress”, he added.

He further said that the people committed to the ideology of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had laid the foundation stone of ‘Janata Sahakari Bank, Pune’. The relationship between Janata Bank and the general account holder remains strong even today. The path of Janata Sahakari Bank is ideal for other banks, he emphasized.

While extending his greeting, Chandrakant Patil, urged that banks should help the youth and especially small entrepreneurs to stand on their own feet in the future.

The bank Chairman Ravindra Hejib informed the gathering about future plans of the Bank and expressed gratitude towards shareholders, account holders and well-wishers of the Bank.

Chief Executive Officer Jagdish Kashyap delivered a welcome address and briefed the gathering about the values and journey of the bank. He shed more light on customer centric Banking services which the Bank is providing and the social responsibility it is discharging towards society in natural calamities,

The bank Vice Chairperson Mrs. Alka Petkar moved a vote of thanks.
