Dr. Bijender Singh makes it second time at NAFSCOB

Dr.Bijender Singh’s clout with state cooperative bank federation was proved once again today when he bagged chairmanship of NAFSCOB. The newly Constituted Board of National Federation of State Cooperative Banks Ltd. (NAFSCOB), Navi Mumbai has unanimously re-elected Dr. Bijender Singh, MLA as the Chairman of NAFSCOB, an apex organization of all state cooperative banks in the country. There are more than one lakh primary cooperative societies in the country, 370 cooperative banks and 32 state level cooperative banks in the country to help the farmers and masses for short term credit loan.

Dr. Singh is also the Chairman of NAFED and Chairman of Delhi State Cooperative Banks. He also represents Board of Director of Cooperatives of  national federation like KRIBHCO, NCUI, NCCF, etc.

He has been staunch supporter of autonomy and independence of cooperative sector in the country. The Board also unanimously elected  five Vice Chairmen namely: Mr. K.N. Krishna Nair, Chairman Kerala State Cooperative Bank for Southern Region, Mr. R.G N. Mule, Chairman, Goa State Cooperative Bank for Western Region, Shri Jagneshwer, Chairman, Orissa State Cooperative Bank for Eastern Region, Shri Chander Mohan Thakur, Northern Region and Ms. Roshan  Warjri, Chairperson of Meghalay Cooperative Apex Bank, Shillong for Northen Eastern Region.
