Cosmos celebrates Women’s Day with a cause

On the occasion of International Women’s Day , staff of the Cosmos Co-operative Bank  collected 1400 kgs of rice-grains considering this their Corporate Social Responsibility ( CSR ) and donated it to Anaath Hindu Mahilashram thus celebrating International Women’s Day with a cause.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Cosmos Bank and Cosmos Foundation had arranged a special programme for the ladies staff. This programme was inaugurated by Chairman – Krishnakumar Goyal. For this function, Vice-Chairman – Milind Kale, Chairman, Cosmos Foundation – Adv. Shripad Panchpor, Director – Dr. Smita Jog, Managing Director – Vickrant Pounkshe and 300 ladies staff from Pune, Amravati, Kolhapur and Mumbai were present.

Chairman – Krishnakumar Goyal handed over 1400 kgs of rice-grains to Mrs. Poonam Tiwari – Manager of Anaath Hindu Mahilashram. The Board of Directors, staff from various departments and branches contributed towards this collection as part of Corporate Social Responsibility.

On this occasion, Chairman – Goyal said that bank has a sizeable percentage of ladies staff who are very sincere and efficient. Their contribution to the growth and development of Cosmos Bank is commendable. In the future too, the participation of ladies staff in the progress of the Bank is going to be valuable.

During this function Director – Dr. Smita Jog, Chairman, Cosmos Foundation – Adv. Shripad Panchpor, Managing Director – Vickrant Pounkshe addressed the ladies present for the programme. General Manager – Madhuri Marathe introduced the guests and also proposed the vote of thanks.

As a part of this programme, interviews of eminent ladies viz., Corporator – Mukta Tilak, Architect – Amala Seth & Ex-Zonal Manager of LIC – Pratibha Mehta who are experts from their respective fields were conducted. They shared the experiences in their field of work. This programme also hosted competitions like solo-dance, group skit and salad decoration for the ladies staff which received overwhelming response. The programme ended with the prize distribution for the winners of the various competitions.
