Cosmos Bank’s Chairman, Krishnakumar Goyal was awarded with the recognition of “Paul Harris Fellow” by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International at the hands of P T Prabhakar, Director- Rotary International at Cosmos Tower, Cosmos Bank’s Corporate Office.
This recognition is in appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world. This is one more recognition for Goyal for his dedicated social work. Prominent IT expert and Ex-District Governor, Rotarian Dr. Deepak Shikarpur was present on this occasion.
While explaining the importance of this award, P T Prabhakar informed that, Paul Harris was one of the founders of Rotary Club established in the year 1905. The work of Rotary is spread in 226 countries around the world through twelve lac Rotarians.
The recognition as “Paul Harris Fellow” is given to those selected few persons from all over the world who are not members of Rotary Club but are doing superlative social work. He said that Goyal’s individual as well as contribution through Cosmos Bank to the society is valuable and it gives him immense pleasure to hand over this award to Krishnakumar Goyal.
P T Prabhakar also informed that Rotary Club is undertaking ‘WASH Project’ which means Water, Sanitation and Hygience for school children as part of Swach Bharat Abhiyan announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As part of WASH Project, Rotary Club proposes to build toilets in schools for children and also further educate them about the hygiene issues.
P T Prabhakar also mentioned that he was very happy to see Cosmos Tower, the Corporate Office of Cosmos Bank. He admired the magnificence and modernity of Cosmos Tower.
Goyal expressed his gratitude towards Rotary International and thanked P T Prabhakar for recognizing him as ‘Paul Harris Fellow’. He assured to continue and dedicatedly contribute to the betterment of society in the future too.
