Co-op bank looted in Odisha

Criminals made away with nearly two million rupees from a van of central cooperative bank in Sambalpur in Orissa. The amount was meant for distribution as loans among farmers.

Police in Sambalpur say they have taken one into custody and are on the trail of the other criminal. Further investigation is on and the case would soon be solved, they claimed.

According to police, the bank officials taking money in a van without proper security arrangement proved to be an easy target for the criminals.
