The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) successfully conducted a one-month Skill Enhancement Programme at Anand for newly recruited Dairy Cooperative Services (DCS) consultants and Planning & Implementation (P&I) professionals from Banaskantha, Junagadh, Porbandar and Sabarkantha Milk Unions, all affiliated with the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul).

The programme provided comprehensive training on the Anand Pattern of Dairy Cooperatives, cooperative governance, dairy cooperative management, milk procurement, clean milk production, quality assurance, animal breeding and nutrition, dairy plant operations, digital technologies, leadership, communication and extension services.

A key highlight was a three-day village immersion programme, where participants gained hands-on experience in dairy cooperative operations, milk testing, accounting practices and direct interaction with milk producers.

The trainees also visited NDDB’s initiatives at Mujkuva Village, the Product & Process Development Laboratory, Fodder Demonstration Unit, Amul Dairy & Museum, Amul Chocolate Plant, Sarsa Calf Rearing Farm, and Vidya Dairy, providing practical exposure to various aspects of the dairy value chain and cooperative dairy management.
