IFFCO Managing Director K. J. Patel has announced that IFFCO has become a member of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS), marking a significant step towards strengthening the cooperative’s scientific research and innovation ecosystem. He said the association with India’s apex agricultural science academy will enhance IFFCO’s research credibility, policy engagement, and scientific outreach.
According to Patel, NAAS membership will provide IFFCO with access to leading agricultural scientists, policymakers, and industry experts, creating opportunities for independent scientific validation of its innovations, including nanofertilisers and other sustainable fertiliser solutions. The collaboration is expected to promote evidence-based research, facilitate knowledge sharing, and support the wider acceptance of advanced agricultural technologies.
Patel noted that the partnership will also encourage collaborative research initiatives, help build scientific consensus on emerging technologies, and strengthen IFFCO’s contribution to sustainable farming practices.
He said the association reinforces IFFCO’s commitment to innovation-driven agriculture while further consolidating its leadership in developing environmentally responsible fertiliser solutions that support higher productivity, improved soil health, and long-term sustainability in India’s agriculture sector.
