Cooperative banks made a strong impression at the 5th Edition of the IBA CISO Summit & Citations 2026, with Saraswat Cooperative Bank, Cosmos Co-operative Bank, and TJSB Sahakari Bank Ltd. emerging among the biggest winners for their excellence in cybersecurity.
Saraswat Bank stole the spotlight by winning two prestigious awards, Cybersecurity Team of the Year and Identity & Access Management of the Year in the Cooperative Banking Sector. The twin honours recognize the bank’s sustained commitment to strengthening cybersecurity, safeguarding customer trust, and implementing best-in-class security practices.
Cosmos Co-operative Bank was adjudged the Winner in the Cyber Resilience of the Year category, reflecting the bank’s robust cyber defence framework and preparedness to tackle evolving digital threats.
TJSB Sahakari Bank Ltd. was named Runner-Up in the same category. The award was received by Devidas Gholap, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), on behalf of the bank.
The awards, presented by the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) at the summit held in Mumbai on July 10, underscore the growing leadership of India’s cooperative banking sector in cybersecurity and digital trust as banks continue to strengthen their defences against an increasingly complex cyber threat landscape.
