In a significant cooperative sector initiative, IFFCO and Banas Dairy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote sustainable agriculture through innovation, technology and farmer-centric solutions.
Inspired by the vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” and under the leadership of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, the partnership seeks to strengthen climate-resilient farming while enhancing farmers’ incomes.
The collaboration will combine IFFCO’s technological expertise, research and development capabilities, and extensive nationwide cooperative network with Banas Dairy’s strong grassroots presence, organic resource base and close connect with farmers. The two organisations will jointly develop Activated Biochar and Biochar-enriched fertilisers aimed at improving soil health, optimising nutrient use and reducing cultivation costs.
The initiative is expected to provide sustainable solutions for agriculture by encouraging efficient resource utilisation and environmentally friendly farming practices.
The MoU was signed in the presence of IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani, Gujarat Legislative Assembly Speaker and Banas Dairy Chairman Shankar Chaudhary, IFFCO Managing Director K. J. Patel and other senior officials from both organisations. The partnership is expected to accelerate innovation in cooperative-led agriculture and benefit farmers across the country.
