The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) has been conducting a wide range of activities across the country to commemorate Cooperative Week 2026 and the fifth anniversary of the Ministry of Cooperation, highlighting its commitment to farmer welfare, environmental sustainability and cooperative awareness.
The Ahmedabad Branch organised a tree plantation drive to promote environmental conservation and sustainable development, with officials and employees actively participating in planting saplings. The branch also held a blood donation camp, witnessing enthusiastic participation from staff members as part of its social service initiatives.
In Kolkata, NAFED organised a series of outreach programmes, including a Farmers Awareness Programme, a Cooperative Pledge ceremony and a tree plantation drive to spread awareness about the cooperative movement and encourage community participation.
Meanwhile, the Gujarat Branch conducted Kisan Chaupals at various locations, where farmers were informed about the e-Samridhi portal, its benefits and the registration process, helping them access digital services and market-related information more effectively.
The Ranchi Branch also organised a tree plantation campaign to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices, emphasising the importance of collective efforts in protecting natural resources.
Through these diverse initiatives, NAFED reinforced the spirit of “Sahakar Se Samriddhi” by combining farmer outreach, environmental stewardship, digital awareness and community service during the nationwide Cooperative Week celebrations.
