Shri Beereshwar Cooperative Credit Society Ltd., Examba, Karnataka, one of South India’s largest multi-state credit cooperative societies, inaugurated Cooperative Week 2026 on Monday, joining the nationwide celebration marking five years of the Ministry of Cooperation.

The event began with a welcome address by Deputy General Manager M. K. Mangavate. Chief guest Jyotiprasad Annasaheb Jolle, President of Ashajyoti Special Children’s School, Nanadi, inaugurated the celebrations by paying floral tribute to Shri Siddanagouda Sanna Ramanagouda Patil, regarded as the Father of Karnataka’s Cooperative Movement, and hoisting the Cooperative Flag.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy General Manager S. K. Mane said the past five years have witnessed transformative reforms under the Ministry of Cooperation, including the launch of new national-level cooperative institutions and initiatives aimed at strengthening the sector.

He noted that these measures are expanding opportunities for farmers, members, and cooperative societies while reinforcing cooperatives as a key driver of India’s inclusive economic growth.
