In a move aimed at enhancing passenger safety and promoting smart urban mobility, the Gujarat Police has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharat Taxi to integrate digital safety features and strengthen law enforcement support for commuters across the state.
Under the partnership, Bharat Taxi will integrate an SOS emergency feature with the Gujarat Police Control Room, enabling passengers to seek immediate police assistance during emergencies.
The initiative also provides for police verification (KYC) of all Bharat Taxi drivers to improve transparency and strengthen passenger confidence.
The collaboration further includes road safety, traffic awareness and responsible driving training for drivers, along with joint public awareness campaigns to promote safe and reliable transportation.
