Marking World Environment Day, the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (MPStCB) launched a state-wide ‘Green Cooperative Campaign’ aimed at promoting environmental sustainability through the cooperative network.

The programme was held under the chairmanship of Mohan Yadav and was attended by C. Saraswathi, Chief General Manager, NABARD among other dignitaries.

Launching the campaign, the Chief Minister announced that cooperative banks and societies across Madhya Pradesh would collectively plant one lakh saplings as part of a coordinated effort to enhance green cover and encourage environmental stewardship.

Addressing the gathering, Yadav lauded the role of the cooperative sector in supporting social and developmental causes. He also appreciated the efforts of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) in improving the livelihoods of tribal communities through various developmental initiatives, including the ongoing NABARD Mango Festival.

The campaign reflects the cooperative sector’s growing commitment to sustainability and community-driven environmental action across the state.
